In class today, students started working on a Career involving Science Project.  They will do more work on Monday.  Presentations will start on Tuesday/Wednesday.  I also checked off MM#6.

3rd, 5th, and 6th periods



Today, we went over the density problems and then students took the Density quiz.  The rest of the period was spent working on MM#6, Analysis part 2 questions 1, 2, 3, and 5, Making Sense, Stretching, and Practice 1-3.  The Calculation and Practice 4 and 5 are extra credit.  MM#6 will be due at the end of the period on Friday.

Today, we started MM#6.  I checked of the pictures for the set-up.  Then students did the lab.  They worked on Analysis part 1 question 2, 4, 5, and 8.   We also collected class data.

Monday, September 26th

Today, we finished MM#5.  I checked off the Stretching and Practice, and we did a check in question.

I assigned the Set up for MM#6.  Students were told to draw pictures for each of the 5 steps before the next class period, when we will be starting the lab.

Also, I gave some practice density problems that are due Wednesday for 4th period, and Thursday for 3rd, 5th, and 6th.  There will be a quiz about density on Wednesday/Thursday.

Today in class I checked off MM#5 Analysis #1-9.  We discussed Analysis #9 and the Making Sense question as a class.  I assigned the rest of MM#5, Stretching and Practice #1-4.  It is due at the start of class on Monday.

Today we finished the Observation game.  We also did a check-in for MM#4 and started MM#5.  We did the ChemCatalyst and I assigned Analysis #1-9.  I will give 10-15 minutes of work time on Friday before I check off Analysis 1-9.

Today in class, I returned graded journals.  If you feel like I missed something and didn't give you points, please show it to me and I will regrade it.

We continued work on MM#4.  I defined some vocabulary words, we collected class data, and I gave students time to work on the Analysis and Practice questions.  They will be due at the start of class on Tuesday/Wednesday (next class period).

Monday, September 12th

In class today, we went over the safety quiz.  Retakes will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday before or after school or during THOR.

Also, we continued to discuss MM#3, Whatsa matter?  We worked on the Activity in class.  Next class period, you will be expected to do Making Sense, Stretching, Practice, and Application.  I will give you some time to work on it in class.

Lastly, if you haven't yet turned in your signed Safety contract, get it to me by the next class period. You will not be able to do the lab for MM#4 without it.

I am home sick today and there is a sub.  She'll be showing a video that has questions to go with it.
